Privacy and cookie policy

1. Data controller

World of Dance Tour Inc., a company incorporated in the United States, organiser of World of Dance London. Contact for any data-protection question: london@worldofdance.com.

2. Data we collect

Through the form (depending on your choice: participant, spectator or volunteer): chosen format; team name or dancer’s nickname / name; dance style; club / studio (optional); short introduction; country and city; Instagram and TikTok accounts (optional); number of participants; video link; representative’s first and last name; phone; email; representative’s Instagram (optional); for volunteers, experience and languages spoken.

Technical data: submission time, language, landing page and campaign parameters (utm), IP address and browser — used for security and to prevent abuse.

Meta pixel: only if you accept it (see section 7).

3. Purposes and legal bases

Assessing your application (video pre-selection) and contacting you about the event, including sending an invitation — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).

Securing the website and preventing abuse — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).

Measuring the performance of our ads — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) UK GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Recipients

The Organiser’s event team; our hosting provider (Hosting Ukraine, servers in Germany); Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. if you accept the pixel. We do not sell your data.

5. Transfers outside the UK and the European Union

As the Organiser is based in the United States, your data may be accessed from there. Such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR (the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses).

6. Retention

Applications are kept until the end of World of Dance London 2027 and no longer than 24 months after our last exchange, then deleted. Technical logs are kept for no more than 12 months.

7. Cookies and the Meta pixel

The website sets no advertising cookies without your consent. If you click “Accept”, we load the Meta pixel (Facebook / Instagram) to measure visits and applications coming from our ads. If you decline, nothing is loaded.

Your choice is stored in your browser. You can change it at any time: change my choice.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and the right to withdraw consent. Email us at london@worldofdance.com; we reply within one month.

You can also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

9. Minors

The form must be completed by an adult. Data about participants under 18 is only provided by their legal guardian or with their parents’ consent.

For dancers aged 16 and under on the day of the event, the team representative provides their first and last name, date of birth, school, home council and whether there is any health issue we should know about. We share the names, ages, schools and councils with the local council where the event takes place, as required for its approval of children performing (Body of Persons Approval). Health notes are seen only by the event team, are not shared, and are deleted 30 days after the event.
